Summer is the time to see movies. There’s nothing better than watching a great movie and then stepping out into the summer night air as you recap the highs and lows of the movie with your friends or loved one.
Every summer there are big-budget movies that are great and there are big-budget movies that are horrendous. Then there are smaller-budget films that are awesome and some that aren’t.
Here are 5 movies that you’ve got to see this summer:
5. Sex and the City: The Movie (5/30)
While this movie doesn’t excite me, there are millions of loyal fans eagerly awaiting this film. If you liked the HBO show, you should love the movie.
4. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (5/16)
Another trip into another world for another great adventure. Narnia is a great place to visit and will be in May.
3. Hancock (7/2)
Will Smith and Charlize Theron are the stars in this one. That’s all I need to know. It’s got to be good. Will Smith is a hero who saves people but causes a lot of destruction in the process.
2. Batman 2: The Dark Knight (7/18)
This movie looks awesome. With Christian Bale as Batman and Heath Ledger as the Joker this movie will do great. Especially since the unfortunate death of Ledger in early ’08.
1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (5/22)
This movie was a long time coming and I can’t wait. It’s tough to say what this is about since there’s a tight wrap being kept on it. But it looks like Indiana may be fighting aliens with his son. Regardless of the plot, this movie is going to be awesome.
